Gigabyte completes its Aero series of graphics cards with the addition of its RTX 4090 Aero OC. Until now, in this famous series, we had the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti, the 4090 was the big absentee, until now at least.
Gigabyte announces its RTX 4090 Aero OC!
With this new model, inevitably, we find an imposing card of 342 (W) x 140 (D) x 75 (H) mm. Make no mistake, this model clearly exceeds the three slots in your case. In fact, it’s large enough that Gigabyte has provided a reinforcement mechanism at the back of the fairing.
The heatsink, meanwhile, has three fans with semi-passive operation. Ditto, they will rotate in an opposite direction to each other. Otherwise, the radiator is massive and has a steam chamber. The latter will only concern the GPU. Otherwise, we can count on two imposing blocks of aluminum fins. The whole will also be crossed by a total of nine copper heat pipes.
We should not forget to mention the presence of a backplate. If the latter stiffens the card, we do not know if it will play a role in cooling. Moreover, the card also has a warning light indicating any anomaly on the power supply.
Despite the presence of a dual OC/Silent bios, the frequencies do not go very far. Indeed, you will have to deal with a boost reaching 2535 MHz against 2520 MHz for the reference model. It was well worth it to put a double bios.
For the moment, the card does not seem to be available on our shelves, so it is difficult to say what its price will be.
