New cases from Gamdias which announces the arrival of its Athena P1 and P1 Lite. Medium tower models with perforated front panel and RGB lighting. However, we underline the presence of assistance for the cabling, it is always welcome.
Athena P1 and P1 Lite, what differences?
Globally, the two versions are identical in terms of dimensions. Indeed, they both show 220 (W) x 465 (D) x 485 (H) mm. This allows for more or less equivalent configurations. The motherboard can be in ATX format, while we find limitations of 405 mm for the graphics card, 170 mm for the cpu cooler and 210 mm for the power supply.
In terms of liquid cooling, it will be possible to install watercooling radiators in 360 mm at the front and top. However, it is at the level of ventilation that we find a difference. The lite version is less well equipped: only one fan mounted at the rear. The other version has three more, with aRGB lighting, mounted on the front.
The storage part will also see some differences between the two models. Again, the lite model is less equipped by losing two 2.5″ slots. However, it will still allow the installation of two SSDs behind the motherboard tray in addition to two 3.5″ HDDs or one 3.5″ HDD and one 2.5″ SSD in its cage.
Finally, we would like to mention the presence of Velcro strips and RGB diffusers under the case. The lighting can also be directly controlled by a button accessible from the control panel. However, all these elements are also absent on the Lite version.
In terms of price, despite everything, the bill looks rather accessible. The Athena P1 costs $109.90 against $89.90 for the Lite model.
