The RTX 3060 is back, and it’s here to offer an affordable option in NVIDIA’s entry-level segment. While we were expecting the RTX 5050 9 GB, its launch appears to have been postponed until further notice. As a result, the 3060 is stepping up to the plate. In any case, we’ve learned that Gainward is launching an RTX 3060 Python II OC, a new version of the card.

RTX 3060 Python II OC: a new card from Gainward!

Afactory-overclockedversion!

Gainward RTX 3060 Python II OCWith this card, Gainward offers a discreet model, as it features an all-black shroud with carbon-fiber-style accents. The shroud is, of course, made of plastic, and RGB lighting appears to be absent from this model.

The cooling system is fairly standard, as the card has only two fans. These fans blow air over an array of aluminum fins through which copper heat pipes run. It remains to be seen whether they’re mounted in direct contact with the GPU, but judging by the card’s design, that doesn’t seem far-fetched.

In any case, this is a compact model, with a total length of 24.3 mm and a height of two slots. At least it won’t be difficult to fit it into a compact PC.

Factory-overclocked frequencies:

As for the clock speeds, Gainward claims a boost clock of up to 1792 MHz, whereas NVIDIA’s reference card runs at 1777 MHz. Ultimately, this represents a moderate increase in clock speeds—a rise of 0.84%… Just enough to slap the“OC” label on the box… For marketing purposes, let’s say.

Price not yet known:

Unfortunately, the retail price isn’t known yet, but we can reasonably expect it to be over €300. Even though it’s an older card, it still comes with 12 GB of memory, and the memory remains powered on at all times.
