G.Skill announces new Trident Z5 memory kits and offers 48GB and 96GB sets. However, they are also distinguished by their high operating frequencies which can reach 8200 MT/s. For comparison, the Corsair equivalent only goes up to 7200 MT/s.
Trident Z5: 48/96 GB kits that can reach 8200 MT/s!
On the program, G.Skill unveils memory kits with module capacities ranging from 24GB to 48GB. As you can see, we will have 48GB to 96GB kits for the biggest ones. However, if you want to go for higher frequencies, you will have to turn to the 2x 24 GB kits. It is in these capacities that we will reach 8200 MT/s, 8000 MT/s and 7200 MTs. Otherwise, in 96 GB, we will be limited to frequencies of 6800 MT/s and 6400 MT/s.
At the level of timings, necessarily, at 8200 MT/s, these will be higher and will be 40-52-52. Finally, at the fastest, we will have 32-39-39 in 6400 MT/s with all the intermediaries that go with it:
- 6800 MT/s: 34-46
- 7200 MT/s: 36-46-46
- 8000 MT/s: 40-48-48
Now, we just have to wait before knowing the prices. By the way, some kits are available at LDLC. The 48 GB kits at 8000 MT/s are available at 555 € against 420 € for the 7200 MT/s.
