Following the launch of the new AMD Ryzen Threadrippers, G.SKill announces the availability of its new Zeta R5 Neo DDR5 kits in R-DIMM format, compatible with the new Threadripper platforms. Please note, however, that these modules will not be compatible with traditional configurations, as the Zeta R5 Neo kit is intended for HEDT PCs or servers. If you’ve read our article on the Threadripper 7980X and 7970X, you’ll know that we had a copy of this kit in our hands. G.SKill has announced two versions, either 4 x 16 GB or 4 x 32 GB. In terms of technical specifications, the modules are clocked at 6400 MT/s, with timings of 32-39-39-102.

The kit therefore features a DOCP profile that you simply need to activate in the BIOS. The overclocking potential is very interesting: in our tests, we easily managed to reach 7200 MT/s in CL34 without increasing the voltage, and even 7800 MT/s CL34 at 1.57 volts on our copy of the ASUS Pro WS TRX50-Sage.

G.SKill is announcing availability in November, but as yet no information on price. No doubt the price of the 128 GB kit, similar to the one we tested, will be around 1,400 euros.
