Arctic has just released its Freezer 35, an entry/mid-range heatsink that is quite neat. This is a model with a 120 mm heatsink and maximum compatibility!

Freezer 35: a 120 mm heatsink for 158 mm height!

Arctic Freezer 35With this new model, the brand offers us a heatsink rather worked with a large plastic shell. This one covers the top of the heatsink as well as the fan. If this takes care of the aesthetic aspect of the heatsink, we have some doubts in case of failure of the fan. Indeed, its replacement will be difficult or even impossible in case of failure.

Next to that, we find a compact model whose key word is compatibility. It has an eccentric base so as not to encroach on RAM territory. Ditto for the cases with its 158.5 mm height, it should be able to fit just about anywhere!

As usual, the ventilation is provided by a P12 type mill with its five long and strongly curved blades. This last one will turn from 200 RPM to 1700 RPM and this is all the information we have at our disposal. The brand does not communicate on its air flow or its static pressure. Moreover, we know that it embeds twelve aRGB diodes controllable via the motherboard.

Finally, for compatibility, two versions of this cooling unit exist, one in AMD, the other in Intel. Of course, the AMD version will only be compatible with the AM4. On the Intel side, we’ll settle for the LGA-1000, LGA-1700 included.

For the price, the brand positions its Freezer 35 at 42,99 € in AMD version against 44,99 € in Intel.
