Four small A620 cards from ASRock, one of which is pretty cool!

Just like Asus and Gigabyte, ASRock also presents its A620 motherboards, but the brand arrives in force with a total of four references with WiFi, without, heatsinks or not. In short, we have a little more choice!

A620M Pro RS/WiFi: an A620 board with a really neat design!

ASRock A620M-Pro RS WiFi - carte mère ASRock A620

The first thing you will notice on the A620M Pro RS and RS WiFi from ASRock, is the really neat design of the cards. There are heatsinks everywhere, on the VRMs, the chipset as well as on the first M.2. Likewise, a cover is present on the rear connector and theI/O shield is pre-installed as standard.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to make a card that looks good, have big specs and a small price. Finally, it is on the features that the card loses a little of its superbness. Indeed, on the memory part, these models can only handle 6000 MT/s DDR5 compared to 6400 MT/s at Asus and Gigabyte. Finally, for the power supply, we only have 6+2+1 power supply phases.

However, the card offers a complete storage part with four SATA III and two M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4. There is also an M.2 PCIe 3.0 x2 as well as an M.2 for a WiFi module, which is already occupied on the “WiFi” version of the card.

At the back, we have the right to Ethernet 1000 via a Realtek 8111H chip as well as audio in 7.1 via an ALC897 chip. Video outputs are also present via an HDMI and a DisplayPort 1.4. The USB part highlights four type A 2.0 ports, three others to the 3.2 Gen1 standard and one last one in type C to the 3.2 Gen2 standard… A small BIOS Flashback closes the march!

The A620M-HDV/M.2(+) versions !

ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+Finally, with these cards, the brand offers us much more basic models with only two memory slots. The M.2+ model benefits from a VRM heatsink and a Hyper M.2 port. Otherwise, both cards are quite bare with 5600 MT/s memory support, one PCIe x16 4.0 and two others in x1 3.0.

Finally, the rear connectivity goes to the basics with HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. Two USB-A 2.0, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 and one USB-C 3.2 Gen2 are present. Note that the M.2+ version offers a USB-A 3.2 Gen1 in addition. Finally, the audio and networking parts are driven by Realtek 8111H and ALC897 chips respectively.
