On the Razer side, we’ve learned that the company is launching a more premium version of its Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard called the Huntsman Signature Edition. This new version features a much better finish. We’re talking aluminum with a mirror finish base. In short, it looks nice, but above all, it’s very expensive, as we’ll see.
Huntsman Signature Edition: a very big price tag!
With this keyboard, Razer is offering us a more luxurious version of its Huntsman V3 Pro. In fact, it’s still a TKL keyboard without a numeric keypad to save space on your desk. It also features a wheel for sound control and two large buttons dedicated to multimedia controls and macros.
Internally, the keyboard still has Gen 2 analog optical switches and a polling rate of 8000 Hz. The switches allow for similar features (although the operation differs) to those found on magnetic switches. For example, you can manage the activation depth, set up a rapid trigger system, and it supports snap tap to give priority to a key without having to completely release the first one pressed.
Of course, the main advantage of this signature version is its build quality, with an aluminum case and, above all, a mirror finish on the base. Unfortunately, the keyboard loses its two-level risers, but we do find rubber domes to place under the keyboard to adjust its angle.
The keyset retains its PBT caps, but we find a set of metal keycaps. Finally, although the images appear very monochrome, we assume that this model retains its aRGB lighting.
Finally, all that remains is to mention the price tag, which comes in at $500. Of course, we expect quantities to be limited, so you’ll have to be quick.
