Back in Last July where we learned that Kioxia was going to launch new SSD series. Among them, we had the Exceria Pro of which we knew nothing… Except for their launch in the fourth quarter. Anyway, here we are and this time the speeds and prices are known.
Exceria Pro: an M.2 SSD that can write at up to 6.4 GB/s!
With this series, the brand offers us SSDs in M.2 format with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. In terms of capacity, there are two versions with models of 1 TB and 2 TB. Finally, internally, the brand puts forward its own memory, BiCS TLC.
That said, what interests us most is the speed and at this level, these models are rather high. Indeed, we can count on sequential speeds of 7.3 GB/s in reading and 6.4 GB/s in reading. For the random performances, the model of 1Tb posts 1M/1,1M IOPS in reading/writing against 800k/1,3M IOPS in reading/writing.
A quick word on the endurance of the models which displays no less than 800TB for the largest model in the series. Beside that, the 1Tb version offers an endurance of 400Tb.
We finish with the bill which will be $360 for the 2Tb version against $179 for the 1Tb model. In all cases, the warranty will be 5 years.
