EK-Quantum Velocity²: EK makes its block compatible with LGA-1700!

Small news from EKWB who announces that its waterblock EK-Quantum Velocity² lands on socket LGA-1700. Initially, the series was only intended for the new Intel platform. Nevertheless, the Slovenian brand extends the compatibility of its series to the old platform.

EK-Quantum Velocity² : the block lands on LGA-1200 !

EK-Quantum Velocity² With this block, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to the desired color/pattern. Indeed, there are five different versions:

  • Nickel + plexi
  • Nickel + acetal
  • Full nickel
  • Nickel + satin titanium
  • Copper + nickel

However, these versions concern the overall aesthetic aspect, there will be no change concerning the base. As usual, EKWB uses nickel-plated electrolytic copper… Except in the case of the copper/nickel version which uses a non-nickel base.

For the rest, the brand announces that it is an EK-Matrix7 product. In other words, it meets certain standards of the brand in order to facilitate your work when mounting the buckle. No more trouble to find the right height for your tips, small demo:

In the end, the prices are still quite high since you will have to count 125,90 € for the “basic” versions which will arrive at the end of February. The full nickel and nickel/satin titanium models are €167.91 but will arrive later on the market: early March.
