Dynatron L38: a 700W AIO for Granite Rapids

This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about the Dynatron brand. In broad terms, its specialty is heatsinks for server processors. And with Granite Rapids due in 2024, the brand is already preparing a new solution with its L38. This is a small 240 mm watercooling kit… Via three 80 mm fans!

Dynatron L38: a small AIO capable of cooling 700W!

Dynatron L38 Granite Rapids 700WWith this watercooling kit, we have an AIO in 240 mm format, but via three small 80 mm mills. These are extremely powerful, with speeds of up to 8,000 rpm. Despite their format, these little guys generate an airflow that’s enough to make a bald man’s hair stand on end: 115.61 CFM and a pressure of 34.06 mmH2O! And the power consumption is just as high: 24.72W at full power. To give you an idea, an NF-A14 PWM is 1.56W.

These are mounted on a 44 mm thick heat sink with a total length of 297 mm. Of course, the width is very limited: 83.5 mm, the aim being to fit the kit into a 2U rack server at the very least.

Naturally, to be installed on this type of processor, the copper base has been greatly enlarged. The heatsink is therefore compatible with socket LGA-752. As for cooling capacity, we learn that the kit can tank loads of 700W despite its small size. This may seem huge, but the Sapphire Rapids have a PL2 at 700W.
