Dynamic 3: the latest windmills from Fractal Design!
Various sizes, colors and shapes:
The brand’s fans come in 120 or 140 mm sizes, with a version featuring inverted 120 mm blades. In terms of color, the fans are available in black with or without RGB, and in white with lighting. The reverse version is a little unusual in that it comes in white without illumination.
In any case, the fans feature a square frame with rounded corners. The latter is equipped with rubber silentblocks, while the seven blades have a slim profile and a pronounced curvature. Dual PWM male and female connectors will enable fans to be connected in series, limiting the number of sockets occupied on the motherboard.
Features :
As far as specifications are concerned, with three different configurations, the data sheets vary from one model to another. Broadly speaking, however, the 120 mm fans run at up to 2200 rpm, while the 140 mm fans are slower, at 1800 rpm. In terms of airflow and static pressure, the 140 mm will generate the greatest airflow, but will represent an in-between on the pressure side. In contrast, the inverted-blade version offers better airflow than the conventional 120 mm, but its static pressure is the lowest of the three. In concrete terms, here are the figures:
- 120 mm :
- Air flow: 63.9 CFM
- Static pressure: 2.82 mmH2O
- 120 mm reverse :
- Air flow: 65.38 CFM
- Static pressure: 2.54 mmH2O
- 140 mm :
- Air flow: 76.3 CFM
- Static pressure: 2.61 mmH2O
Prices:
As far as selling prices are concerned, these range from $12 to $45. This will depend on the number of fans purchased (triple pack or single fan), the color and the presence or absence of RGB lighting.
