We mentioned it briefly during CES, but this time it’s official: be quiet! has announced launch dates and prices for its mice. We’re talking about the Dark Perk Ergo and Dark Perk Sym. These mice boast high-end specs… and a price tag to match. They will be available early next month.

Dark Perk Slim and Dark Perk Ergo: available February 3!

be quiet! Dark Perk Sym et Dark Perk ErgoWith these mice, be quiet! offers two models that are quite similar on paper, as they feature the same internal components. The sensor is a PixArt PAW3950 with a maximum sensitivity of 32,000 DPI. This sensor can also withstand acceleration of 50G, which means that even when making rapid movements with your wrist, you won’t be able to knock it off balance. For the clicks, be quiet! has opted for Omron D2FP-FN2 optical switches with a claimed lifespan of 70,000,000 activations. Finally, the mice offer a polling rate of 8000 Hz.

Connectivity is extensive, and these models allow wireless connection via a 2.4 GHz receiver. Battery life should be long: up to 110 hours with a polling rate of 1000 Hz. It is also important to note that the addition of a battery does not add any weight, at least not significantly, since these models weigh only 55g.

The only real difference between the Ergo and Sym models is the shape of the shell. The Ergo is ideal for right-handed users, while the Sym is designed for ambidextrous use. So if you are left-handed, there is no mouse specifically designed for you, but you can choose either of these two models. It’s just a shame that the extra buttons are only on the left side of the Sym’s shell.

As for availability, it is scheduled for February 3. The price is €109.90.
