Corsair is finally launching its MP700 SSDs, models that we had already talked about on the site. Of course, they have a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface with capacities of 1TB and 2TB. However, the small surprise concerns the heatsink: absent.

MP700 : Corsair launches its PCIe 5.0 SSDs in 1Tb and 2Tb !

Corsair MP700

In the program, we find SSDs adopting a M.2 2280 format with capacities of 1Tb and 2Tb. The particularity of this series is to be one of the few to be compatible with the PCIe 5.0 x4 interface. Internally, the brand uses 3D NAND TLC memory and a Phison E26 controller. Similarly, we also have the right to a DRAM LPDDR4 cache of 4 GB for the 2 TB model.

On paper, it’s a serious performance hit. Corsair announces sequential throughputs of 10 GB/s in reading and writing. Regarding random performance, we happily exceed the million IOPS with a 1.7M read and 1.5M write.

Of course, as far as the price is concerned, it is quite high since the 1TB version is priced at 195 € on Corsair’s website against 320 € for the 2TB. For the moment, there does not seem to be any availability in stores. We’ll let you know when it happens!
