Core Ultra 9 285K running at 5.00 GHz spotted?

A little leak from @wxnod, who shares a screenshot of a CPU-Z page. It shows a new-generation Intel processor. This would be none other than the Core Ultra 9 285K.

Core Ultra 285K: the CPU spotted at 5.00 GHz with a TDP of 120W?

Core Ultra 9 285KThe screenshot shows a new-generation Core Ultra CPU. As you can see, quite a lot of information is censored, but we can already guess that this is a processor running at 5.00 GHz. It also boasts a TDP of 125W.

As for the engraving, this seems to be the subject of some debate. Clearly, some people are wondering what 7 nm is still doing here. However, it’s worth remembering that Arrow Lake-S should benefit from several etchings. This new generation is made up of different dies. So we’ll have TSMC N3 for the graphics and Intel 20A for the CPU. Behind this, it’s not far-fetched to think that the IOE tile will be 7nm… Unless, that is, CPU-Z is out of its depth and is detecting anything, since the processor is not yet officially supported.

Finally, the highest CPU in the forthcoming Core Ultra range is none other than the 285K. It is expected to deliver up to 5.7 GHz boost. Similarly, there will be no hyperthreading, so 24 cores = 24 threads… This brings us back to the days of the old Core i5 and other AMD FX CPUs. Last but not least, Arrow Lake-S will not support AVX-512, which is also the case with this model.
