Cooler Master completes its MasterFrame case series by announcing and launching the MasterFrame 500 in North America. This model takes up the philosophy of the MasterFrame 600, but is simply more compact. The brand’s aim here is to offer, so to speak, a block of clay that you can modulate to your liking.
MasterFrame 500: a new case from Cooler Master!
With this case, Cooler Master offers us a new reference in mid-tower format. The dimensions are 261 (W) x 471 (D) x 544 (H) mm. Internally, there’s plenty of room for ATX, E-ATX and SSI-CEB motherboards. But what’s even more interesting is that back-connect references, with inverted connectors, can be installed here.
Otherwise, as far as the rest of the components are concerned, the width of the case will allow the mounting of large fans. We’re talking about 190 mm-high models here, while the graphics card is 390 mm long. The power supply, in ATX format, is 235 mm deep. In short, no restrictions to assemble our configuration !
Based on the FreeForm 2.0 design, the case’s interior can be completely readjusted. If you wish, you can mount the motherboard above or below the power supply. What’s more, interchangeable panels will be offered as an option, offering different finishes for your case with different wood panels (Ebony, Eucalyptus, Wallnut and GreyOak) but also a stone finish!
For cooling, there’s all you need, with the possibility of installing up to eight 120 mm fans. By default, three mills are present, two 200 mm on the front, one 120 mm on the rear. As for the watercooling radiator support, this is limited to 360 mm.
Currently available in North America, we’ll have to wait until the end of August before seeing it arrive in Europe!
