Mighty X: Cooler Master’s 2000W and 2800W power supplies launched!

Cooler Master Mighty XThis is it, Cooler Master launches its two huge power supplies on the market. As a reminder, these are top-of-the-range power supplies capable of powering very large configurations. In fact, the less powerful model boasts “only” 2000W, compared with 2800W for the larger version, all with 80 Platinum certification.

In all cases, we find imposing blocks with a depth of 18 cm. Even so, cooling is provided by a 120mm fan operating at up to 2000rpm. Internally, large heatsinks are also present to maximize heat dissipation, while the casing also helps dissipate heat.

And, of course, there’s a fully modular cable management system. Internally, the brand is announcing the replacement of the usual diode bridge by an active rectifier bridge equipped with quality components. Infineon mosfets in particular.

In its 2000W version, the power supply features two 12V-2×6 connectors oriented at 90°. You can power up to two RTX 4090s, ideal for a rendering machine, for example.

Prices are not yet known, but there’s no doubt that this kind of power supply is anything but cheap.
