A new line of power supplies from Cooler Master: the V Platinum V2. These models boast respectable power ratings, reaching 1600W all the same!
V Platinum V2: Cooler Master’s new line of power supplies is here!
With this series, the Taiwanese brand brings to the fore a range of three rather high-end-oriented power supplies. In fact, we’re talking about power supplies rated at 1000W, 1300W and, finally, 1600W. All are 80 Platinum certified, while cable management is entirely modular.
However, despite these high powers, the casing won’t take up all that much space, being 160mm deep… Meanwhile, the brand dwells a little on its design. As you can see, the markings are numerous, while a purple border runs across the steel shell.
Naturally, we’re dealing with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1-compliant components. This guarantees the presence of a 12V-2×6 connector (new generation) which, in Cooler master’s case, is angled at 90°. This will greatly facilitate wiring in a PC case.
Finally, cooling is provided by a 120 mm fan from the Mobius series. Despite a maximum speed of 2,400 rpm, this fan promises to be silent… That is, when the power supply is very, very busy. In the meantime, you can take advantage of its semi-passive operating mode up to 50% load!
