Chieftec launches its Polaris Pro power supplies

The Chieftec brand launches new power supplies with its Polaris Pro. For the moment, we can only find one model with a unit displaying a power of 1300W. Moreover, it seems to be rather well built with its large certification and its ATX 3.0 compliance.

Polaris Pro: a 1300W Chieftec power supply!

Chieftec Polaris ProWith its new block, the brand puts forward a high power supply, we are talking about 1300W of power. Moreover, the efficiency is good since it displays 94% at 50% load… Yes, we find an 80+ Platinum certification. Finally, the ATX 3.0 compliance ensures that the block will be able to provide up to 2600W over short periods of time in order to absorb the power consumption peaks of the biggest cards!

Of course, the power supply adopts a fully modular cable management and has a semi-passive fan. Moreover, it is rather compact since it is 16 cm deep.

As for the electrical part, Chieftec opts for a single 12V 108.3A rail and the PFC is active. As for the protections, we find the OCP, the OPP, the OTP, the OVP, the SCP, the SIP and the UVP.

The connectivity is complete and highlights a 24-pin ATX followed by two EPS12V 4+4 pins. For graphics cards, we have a 12VHPWR as well as six PCIe 6+2 pins. We finish with twelve SATA, four molex and one floppy.

Currently, we do not know the selling price.
