Let’s be honest, every time CES or Computex comes around, we always eagerly await InWin’s unveiling of one of its new Signature cases. This year, the brand is back with the AEON, a new model featuring mirrored glass panels and a motherboard tray mounted on a jack. In short, it’s impressive, and it’s also produced in an ultra-limited series!
AEON: the new Signature case from InWin!
In terms of dimensions, it’s clearly an imposing model, measuring 691 (W) x 840 (D) x 912 (H) mm. The weight isn’t specified, but expect it to be very, very heavy with all that tempered glass and its base.
In any case, we’ll note that the motherboard tray is mounted on a jack that can only be engaged with the RFID key provided. Once open, the main tray tilts 180°, giving you free access to assemble your configuration.
Component compatibility highlights support for a maximum E-ATX motherboard. As for the graphics card, the limit is 360 mm, while for the CPU cooler, we only have 140 mm in height. This is the kind of case in which we would mount a custom water cooling loop. In fact, on this subject, we find a 420 mm slot at the top and bottom. In all cases, the thickness will be limited: 30 mm at the top and 40 mm at the bottom.
The control panel will be located on the top and will feature two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, headphone and microphone jacks, and a power button.
At this time, we do not know the retail price, but it will certainly be steep! Especially since production is limited to only 20 units. This type of case should not be seen as a practical model, but rather as a work of art. And art, as you know, is something you either love or hate. In any case, there’s no denying the brand’s expertise!
