[CES 2024] AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT

At the start of CES 2024, AMD was the first to unveil the new components that will be arriving in the coming weeks, including the Radeon RX 7600 XT.

The Radeon RX 7600 XT or “the Radeon RX 7600 16GB”:

AMD will be launching a new graphics card, the Radeon RX 7600 XT, which will be the big sister of the RX 7600 we reviewed. So, what can we expect with this new model? Well, in the end, the specifications don’t give us much to dream about, since the card, compared to its little sister, sees its Gaming and Boost frequencies increase slightly, and its memory increase from 8 to 16 GB. Wouldn’t it be a 16GB RX 7600, then, as we don’t really understand the meaning of the term “XT”?

AMD announces its card for 1440p definition, which seems coherent to us but for rasterized games. Now, the 16 GB can be quite astonishing when you consider that the RX 7700 XT only has 12 GB.

As you can see from the screenshot below, in terms of features, this RX 7600 XT is very close to the RX 7600. Is it too close? Our tests will tell us. Speaking of tests, here are AMD’s results against the RTX 2060 8 GB and the RX 7600 8 GB.

Pricing is announced at $329, compared with $269 for the RX 7600. At launch, we found the RX 7600 at an MSRP of €299. We therefore expect to find this new card at around €365 in Europe.

Availability is scheduled for January 24. The RX 7000 range should now be complete, unless AMD decides in the coming months to offer a refresh with RX 7×50 models.
