As you probably know, the Alienware brand already offers graphics cards. However, these are based on Intel GPUs, and we’ve had the opportunity to test one. The important news, however, is that the brand is now tackling AMD’s offer with the RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT Predator BiFrost and Nitro!

Acer announces RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT Predator BiFrost and Nitro!

Acer Predator BiFrostThe brand is expanding its graphics card catalog to include AMD’s RADEON range. The line-up includes RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT… And even a small RX 7600 XT.

Of course, we’re dealing with custom cards here. The first model, the 7800 XT BiFrost, features a more conventional heatsink with three axial fans. Here, the brand abandons the dual radial/axial fan heatsink. What’s more, the GPU is in contact with a steam chamber to improve heatsink efficiency.

This is a model that will be factory overclocked with a GPU reaching 2565 MHz boost. As a reminder, the reference card operates at 2430 MHz boost. As for price, expect to pay €599, with availability in the first quarter.

Acer Nitro

This brings us back to the more basic Nitro series. It will encompass all AMD’s mid-range/entry-level GPUs, including the RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT and RX 7600 XT. Here, the heatsink is wiser, with two fans, a shorter length and two compact slots.

Here, frequencies are factory overclocked with :

  • 7800 XT: 2565 MHz boost vs. 2430 MHz for the reference board
  • 7700 XT: 2599 MHz boost vs. 2544 MHz for reference card
  • 7600 XT: 2810 MHz boost vs. 2755 MHz for reference board

As for prices, expect to pay €579 for the 7800 XT Nitro, versus €519 for the 7700 XT, available in February. Finally, the 7600 XT will be available in February, but the price is not yet known.
