We kick off the morning with a whole batch of Biostar SSDs. The brand has announced its M800 Series, comprising three different capacities. All benefit from a PCIe 4.0 interface, guaranteeing a certain level of performance.
M800 Series: a range of three SSDs!
The M800 Series is available in three models: 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB for the largest capacity. Of course, they all adopt an M.2 format, while being equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. Unfortunately, we don’t know which memory controller is at work, nor the type of memory. However, we suspect it’s 3D TLC NAND.
As for performance, Biostar claims sequential throughputs of up to 5 GB/s read and 4.45 GB/s write. However, nothing is said about random performance, nor about endurance…
As for prices, once again, you’ll have to be patient, and the same goes for availability… Especially as Biostar is not the best distributed brand in France. To be continued.
