be quiet! yesterday announced a new range of all-in-one watercooling kits with the Silent Loop 3 420. With this range, the brand opts for a new pump, Silent Wings 4 fans and tries out the 420 mm format for the first time in the brand’s history. Anyway, let’s take a closer look!
Silent Loop 3: the new AIOs from be quiet!
The brand’s program includes three new watercooling kits, with radiator sizes of 240 mm, 360 mm and 420 mm for the largest format. Beware, however, of the capacity of your case: housing a 420 mm radiator is not a trivial matter. Fortunately, the Geometric Future’s Model 5 can accommodate a radiator of this size at the top.
We also learn that be quiet! has opted for a new three-chamber pump. The third chamber acts as an intermediate reservoir to limit turbulence. Of course, all this is driven by a ten-pole, three-phase motor.
Ventilation is provided by Silent Wings 4 high-speed fans in 140 or 120 mm sizes. The 120 mm fan operates at 2,500 rpm, generating an airflow of 76.7 CFM at a static pressure of 3.96 mmH2O. In 140 mm, speed drops to 1900 rpm, but airflow reaches 78.4 CFM, while static pressure falls to 2.36 mmH2O.
In addition to its dimensions, the radiator benefits from an aluminum constructor. However, its special feature is its easily accessible filling port. With the supplied bottle of liquid, you can easily top it up.
For our part, we’ve received the 420 mm model we’re currently testing. We’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible. In any case, you’ll have to make do with prices of €139.90 for 240 mm, €164.90 for 360 mm and €174.90 for 420 mm.
