be quiet! announces Shadow Base 800 enclosures

be quiet! officially announces its Shadow Base 800 enclosure series. This new range was presented at Computex. This series is positioned between the brand’s entry-level models, the Pure Base, and the mid-range Silent Base.

Shadow Base 800: a series of five cases!

First and foremost, the series is available in three distinct versions. The FX, the DX and the basic version. The difference between the three :

  • FX: four 140 mm Light Wings fans and aRGB front lighting.
  • DX: three 140 mm Pure Wings 3 fans and aRGB front lighting.
  • Basic: three 140 mm Pure Wings 3 fans and no front aRGB lighting.

Last but not least, FX and DX models are also available in both white and black. All in all, five versions on offer!

Otherwise, it’s worth noting that the cases are airflow-oriented, and feature a mesh front panel for breathability. The steel side panel also features a layer of soundproofing to reduce noise pollution. Finally, the lower filter is accessible from the front of the case, while the upper filter is magnetic and removable!

All that’s left is to talk about the characteristics of these housings, along with their dimensions. Here, we’re dealing with a medium-tower case measuring 247 (W) x 550 (D) x 522 (H) mm. The weight is 11.7 kg.

Internally, there’s plenty of room for an E-ATX/ATX motherboard. The graphics card can measure up to 43 cm in length, with vertical or horizontal mounting, and the seven expansion slots can be oriented as required. Otherwise, for CPU fans, we have up to 180 mm available. Ventilation will be able to accommodate up to eight 120/140 mm fans and 420 mm watercooling radiators at the top and front. Finally, in terms of storage, the case features up to four 2.5″ and two 3.5″ slots.

Shadow Base 800, how much does it cost?

In terms of price, the base model in black is already priced at €149.90, clearly a mid-range model. The DX version now costs €169.90 in both white and black. Finally, the black FX version will officially sell for €199.99, compared with €209.90 for the white version.

Availability is set for September 5!
