A new enclosure from be quiet! officially announces the arrival of its Light Base 500, which takes up the format and design of the original series, with an aquarium-style design and compartmentalized layout. Except that it’s also the smallest model in the series, with compact dimensions.

Light Base 500: the smallest model in the series!

be quiet! Light Base 500This new Light Base model measures 305 (W) x 432 (D) x 436 (H) mm. Weighing in at just over 10 kg, thanks to an all-steel, tempered-glass construction, this case will internally accept ATX-format motherboards, with support for back-connect models. Otherwise, you’ll find clearance for a 200 mm-deep power supply, a 185 mm-high CPU ventirad and a 400 mm-long graphics card.

Depending on the case version, you won’t have the same fans installed as standard. In fact, the LX version comes with four 120 mm Light Wings LX mills, three with inverted blades at the front, and a fourth standard one at the rear. The basic version of the case benefits from four Pure Wings fans, three of which have inverted blades at the front. But you can add up to six 120 mm fans to complete the ventilation: three at the top and three at the bottom.

As for watercooling, we have 360 mm radiators at the top and 240 mm at the front. The case is supplied with a plate for vertical mounting of the graphics card, while there are two possible positions for the power supply. Let’s not forget to mention the presence of a hub for the LX version.

As for price, you’ll need to spend €144.90 for the black LX model and an additional €10 for the white version. The non-LX model with Pure Wings fans will be available for €119.90. Sales begin on October 21.
