Battlefield 2042 will be launched soon, on November 19th to be precise. Anyway, after a beta session, EA/Dice have decided to update the system requirements to play the title. The minimum and recommended requirements have been slightly adjusted.

Battlefield 2042 : small configuration changes !

These are the old PC configurations

Finally, these small adjustments concern the CPU part of the minimal machine and more specifically AMD processors. Thus, we no longer need a Ryzen 5 3600, but a Ryzen 5 1600. This seems to us much more affordable to hope to run the title at least. Otherwise, no devolution on the Intel side with a Core i5 6600K (4 threads). The same goes for the GPU part since the GTX 1050 Ti and RX 560 are still on the program.

Now for the recommended configurations, we note a small evolution of GPUs. As for the CPUs, this concerns the hardware of AMD which is revised downwards. At the end of September, you needed an RX 6600 XT to play the game in good conditions, now it’s a non-XT RX 6600. It should be noted that at the time of the announcement of the configurations, this card was not yet available.

Besides, the CPU part does not evolve: Ryzen 7 2700X and Core i7 4790 (4 cores/8 threads). The same goes for the RAM with 16 GB and the NVIDIA GPU which remains an RTX 3060. As we can see, the team behind the game recommends the most accessible GPUs to take advantage of RayTracing.

Anyway, if you’re interested in the title, you’ll have to wait until November 19th.
