Battlefield 2042: open beta configurations announced!

0

After having looked at the two great wars (and admittedly, it wasn’t very good), the Battlefield license is once again turning to modern combat. With an open beta announced between October 6 and October 9, EA communicates on the configurations to run the title. So do you have what it takes to run this Battlefield 2042?

Battlefield 2042: what configurations for the beta phase?

Battlefield 2042

To play in this beta phase, you will need a machine with at least a minimum capacity since EA announces :

  • CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600 – Intel Core i5 6600K
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti – AMD RADEON RX 560
  • VRAM: 8 GB

If the required graphic cards are not very violent, the CPU part, it is a little more. Indeed, you will need at least a CPU with four physical cores to play the game.

Now we move on to the recommended configurations, which are quite muscular, especially in terms of the graphics part:

  • CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 2700X – Intel Core i7 4790
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 – AMD RADEON RX 6600 XT
  • VRAM: 8 GB

On the recommended configurations, the team behind the game does not hesitate to put forward current generation GPUs. The RTX 3060 and RX 6600 XT are therefore necessary to play in good conditions. The same goes for the CPU, where the use of models with multiple threads is recommended (8 threads for Intel, 16 for AMD).

Finally, don’t expect to play on less than 100 GB of storage space. And if you’re a die-hard gamer and still have Windows 7, you won’t be able to try the beta either: Windows 10 and DirectX 12 are mandatory.
