Asus launches a new motherboard with its TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi. A model in ATX format with a military look. However, this model is equipped, this time, with DDR5 memory slots!

Asus TUF Gaming Z790-WiFiWith this model, Asus launches a motherboard in ATX format. This board also has a LGA-1700 socket and a Z790 chipset. Moreover, it seems that Asus still uses the mounting holes of the old sockets.

The main novelty of this model is to be equipped with DDR5 memory slots. They will take up to 128 GB of memory clocked at 7200 MT/s according to the data sheet.

For the rest, we have the right to a first PCIe x16 connector operating at the 5.0 standard. The rest is in 4.0 or 3.0 for PCIe x1 . The storage part highlights a total of four SATA ports and four M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4.

Otherwise, the power supply part is equipped with 16+1 power supply phases. The latter is made up of 60A phases equipped with Dr.MOS. Finally, we find a printed circuit in 6 layers.

Finally, we mention the network part managed by an Intel chip in 2.5 GbE. The Wi-Fi 6E is also in the program. Finally, the audio part is driven by a Realtek S1220A chip managing audio in 7.1.
