Thermalright has a very nice little novelty for us with its Assassin Spirit 120 V2. It’s a 120 mm single tower ventirad. The classic format intended for entry/middle range configurations, let’s say.
Assassin Spirit 120 V2: a single tower heatsink in 120 mm!
With this heatsink, we find a cooling unit measuring 120 (W) x 48 (D) x 154 (H) mm, without the fan. Nevertheless, as the fan does not protrude in height, we should find a rather compact unit capable of taking place in many cases.
The structure of the heatsink is relatively simple with its single stack of aluminum fins. These are crossed by a total of four copper heat pipes of 6 mm each. They meet at the base and come into direct contact with the processor.
Otherwise, the ventilation is provided by a TL-C12C V2 mill. The latter will turn up to 1500 rpm, which should ensure a certain silence. Moreover, at full speed, the air flow will reach 66.17 CFM while the static pressure will point to 1.53 mmH2O. Finally, the power supply is done via a PWM signal.
As usual with the brand, it is a heatsink that can be mounted on all mainstream platforms in the sector. One thinks of the LGA-115x/1200/1700 and the AM4/5 on the AMD side.
For the moment, no price, but no doubt it should be affordable.
