ASRock announces new mini-computers with its Mars RPL machines. To put it simply, the most powerful version boasts a Core i5 1335U, a 10-core processor, all in a casing that doesn’t even take up 1l of volume!
Mars RPL: a complete PC in less than 1l of volume!
The first thing you’ll notice about this announcement is the dimensions of the product, which measures 26 (W) x 150 (D) x 194 (H) mm, or 0.7l in volume. Despite this, the brand manages to integrate a Core i7 1335U inside. Broadly speaking, this is an Intel RaptorLake-generation CPU with a total of 10 cores and 12 threads. With a turbo frequency of 4.6 GHz, it also boasts a TDP of 15W.
On the memory side, we have two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots. These can accommodate up to 96 GB of RAM. As for storage, there are two M.2 slots. One of these slots is equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, while the second is in PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA III.
As far as connectivity is concerned, we find everything we need to connect the usual peripherals. On the front alone, we find four USB-A ports (2x 2.0 2x 3.2 Gen2), a USB4 type C Thunderbolt 4 and a card reader. On the rear, we have two USB-A(3.2 Gen2) and one USB-C. Video outputs include a VGA port, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and a power socket.
In short, this is a very compact machine for office and multimedia use, whose main advantage is that it doesn’t take up much space.
