Arrow Lake for Computex 2024 ?

Every year, different trade shows are held around the world to promote new technologies. CES is a big one, and takes place at the beginning of the year, which we were able to attend this year. Then there’s Computex, which takes place in Taiwan in late May or early June. That’s when Intel’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger, will give a speech and, normally, tell us all about Arrow Lake!

Arrow Lake at Computex?

Arrow Lake-S

As one of the world’s biggest IT trade shows, this would be a good opportunity for Intel to talk about its new Arrow Lake processors. Indeed, this generation of chips is expected this year, and should offer a number of new features, particularly on the desktop.

While the MCM design has arrived for the general public on laptops with Meteor Lake, on desktops, we’re still seeing monolithic dies… whereas we’ve been seeing this type of chip since AMD’s Ryzen 3000s. With this generation, Intel will be offering CPUs organized in “tiles”.

The other new feature concerns the artificial intelligence sector, since these chips will feature an NPU(Neural Processing Unit). A processing unit specifically dedicated to AI-related functions. And when you consider that AI is starting to feature prominently in our lives, it’s easy to see why.

Last but not least, we’ll be able to count on a new platform, with LGA-1851 motherboards equipped with a whole new series of chipsets , as described here.
