The successor to Ark: Survival Evolved is already here in the form of Ark: Survival Ascended. The title is currently available on Steam for around €45. In broad terms, it’s simply a Unreal Engine 5 remake of the original game. And now that it’s out, its configuration is also known!

Without further ado, here is the recommended configuration currently displayed on Steam:
- Minimum :
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i7 6800K
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: AMD RADEON RX 5600 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
- Recommended :
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i5 10600K
- RAM: 32 GB
- GPU: AMD RADEON RX 6800 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
Otherwise, for storage, Studio Wildcraft indicates that an SSD with at least 70 GB of storage will be required to fully enjoy the game.
Once again, we find ourselves with a title that boasts a rather muscular recommended configuration. Indeed, the RTX 3080 is not yet within everyone’s reach.
Bear in mind, however, that the game is still in the early access stage. Feedback on Steam has been mixed as to the game’s performance. Some configurations, sometimes very muscular (i9 14900K RTX 4090 1440p), only manage to play at 30 FPS on average. Ditto for another user with an i7 10700F and an RTX 3080, whose game runs between 45 and 60 FPS in 1440p after an upgrade.
Once again, the requirements for early access games are bound to change rapidly with each new update.
