On the Lexar side, the brand announces the arrival of new memory kits. However, it is not DDR5, but DDR4. In addition, the brand focuses on bright lighting with this Ares RGB series.
Ares RGB: a new DDR4 RGB kit for Lexar!
With these new kits, the brand is doing in simplicity since we find sets of 16 GB distributed on two 8 GB strips each. Each module has an aluminum heatsink and a light bar on top. The lighting settings can be done via the brand’s software or via your motherboard’s software.
Regarding its characteristics, the RAM will operate at several frequencies. In the program, we find 2666 MT/s, 3866 MT/s or 4000 MT/s. The timings are in CL19 or in 18-20-20-39 and 18-22-22-42 respectively. Finally, the voltages range from 1.2V to 1.4V depending on the frequency chosen.
What also interests us are the dimensions of these strips which are 43.3 mm high. So be careful with the type of heatsink used in your configurations!
Unfortunately, the selling price is not yet known, just like the launching date.
