ARC Alchemist GPUs leaked?

Several images of the reference models of the upcoming ARC Alchemist graphics cards, including the high-end Xe-HPG-based and the entry-level version, have been leaked by Moore’s Law is Dead. The real news about this particular leak is that for the first time, we get a glimpse of the high-end model’s PCB in its near final form.

First images of the ARC Alchemist high-end GPU

ARC Alchemist Finally, the leaked boards here seem to confirm that there will be a “Made In Intel” version like AMD and Nvidia. The high-end version of the future Intel board has a similar design to the one we saw almost a month ago on some renders. The image shown here confirms that we are very close to a final version with reflective silver colors and two 9-blade fans with Intel logos. The PCB has undergone several significant changes since the prototype was leaked. At first glance, it is first of all the color of the PCB that stands out with a change to black. Then we notice an evolution of the size itself: the board has become shorter. The power connectors are no longer on the back but on the sides of the board and the high-end variant uses an 8 + 6 pin configuration (we are still talking about a maximum power consumption of 300W).

ARC Alchemist: a real competitor to the FTX 16xx?

The entry-level Intel ARC Alchemist graphics card clearly has a family resemblance with the very discreet DG1 released “under the radar” a few months ago. For the moment, we are not on a photo but on a 3D rendering made after observing the real model. The board features a compact design with a dual slot form factor and can feature a single 6-pin connector to boot. The board offers four display outputs (3 DP + 1 HDMI). This card represents a real market potential as it is hard to get a low-end alternative today to tackle the GeForce GTX 16 series, all of whose variations are up sharply and hard to find. This entry-level ARC Alchemist family reference may well have the potential to disrupt Nvidia by putting the fight where it doesn’t expect it.
