AMD to speed up with FSR 4 at Computex

While Nvidia’s DLSS is universally acclaimed, AMD’s equivalent, FSR 4, is far from inferior. However, the Achilles heel of the AMD solution is clearly its lack of gaming support. AMD is doing its utmost to increase FSR 4 support, but Nvidia is still several steps ahead on the subject. As an example, the reds added six new games last month supporting FSR 4… A drop in the bucket compared with the number of games compatible with Nvidia’s DLSS technology.

However, AMD could take advantage of Computex to strike a blow. As an extension of the RX 9060XT announcement, the brand plans to unveil a significant list of FSR 4 partnerships. If AMD can get FSR 4 to support a large number of new games as soon as they’re released, then the Reds will really be able to give pause to gamers who are currently sticking their necks out for Nvidia. This technology is all the more important with the arrival of less muscular cards like the RX 9060.

FSR4: new partnerships… But not just for the RX 90X0

AMD has confirmed that its keynote address at Computex 2025, on May 21, will feature major announcements concerning gaming products. Beyond graphics cards, we’re hoping for the arrival of new APUs like the Z2 for upcoming consoles. And of course, these APUs could also benefit from FSR 4… especially if an Xbox-branded console is also announced, equipped with a new AMD APU.
