Here is a new leak concerning the AMD Rembrandt processors coming straight from Wccftech, with the characteristics of the Ryzen 9 6900HX as well as the new name of the RDNA2 iGPUs.

The Rembrandt family which should be announced at CES 2022 on January 4 to replace the Cezanne processors, will be represented on the top of the range by the Ryzen 9 6900HX taking the place of the 5900HX.

The 6900HX would be engraved with the 6nm from TSMC and would use a modified architecture of Zen 3, called Zen 3+ (which would be only a change of IO to support new technology like DDR5). The processor will have 8 cores and 16 threads, with a boost to 4.6 GHz (identical to the 5900HX) and 16 MB of L3 cache.

The CPU side would have the right to a modest evolution compared to the previous generation. But on the graphics side, we would have the right to a brand new designation with the arrival of RDNA2.

Indeed, the iGPU of the Ryzen 9 6900XT would take the name of Radeon 680M, thus changing with the old graphics parts which carried the name of Vega and a number designating the number of CU. This iGPU engraved in 6nm and coupled with DDR5-4800 should offer very good performance and compete even with entry-level DGPUs, such as the GTX 1050 Ti or the MX550.
