AMD sales on Amazon confirm Ryzen dominance

A few days ago, we reported on AMD’s financial results for the past quarter. These excellent results were driven by the GPU, but above all by the Reds’ processors. While the success of the Ryzen 9000X3D is indisputable, it’s also thanks to a depth of product range capable of serving all budgets that AMD is hitting the nail on the head. Thanks to their latest processors, as well as those from previous ranges, the Reds have the luxury of accounting for over 80% of total sales on Amazon for the month of October 2025. In fact, if we look closely, AMD can serve up (for some time to come) the cheap upgrade with a few Ryzen 5000 AM4s, then do some aggressive X3D with the Ryzen 7 7800X3Ds, while taking the lion’s share with the latest Ryzen 9800X3Ds.

AMD vs Intel

AMD is on a roll, leaving only crumbs for Intel

Intel, on the other hand, is struggling: the Core Ultra 200S is under-priced and hard to justify when everyone knows that the platform is going to change, and the i5/i7 14000 continues to sell, but at a very, very moderate rate… When you look at the ranking of the best-selling processors, you have to go beyond 15th place to find an Intel reference… A 14900K. A real disaster. If we look at the figures, it’s even more striking that Intel only captured 16.2% of the market at Amazon in October. In terms of revenue, AMD’s processor sales generated $14.364 billion (82% of total sales), while Intel’s totaled $3.147 billion (18%).

So, of course, these results illustrate Intel’s difficulties, but they also illustrate a bad “psychological” trend, synonymous with a major loss of confidence in the brand on the part of certain customers. Let me explain: many of us have noted the qualities of the Core Ultra 200S, even when pitted against AMD’s flagship products. But nothing seems to help, especially when it comes to the Ryzen 9000X3D, which customers are unanimously in favor of. This means one very important thing for Intel. If the blues want to get back to the top, they’ll have to do more than just upgrade – they’ll have to hit hard, really hard.
