Just released, already watercooled, this is how we could summarize the situation of the RTX 3090 Ti FE from NVIDIA. Indeed, the German brand Alphacool is now offering a waterblock and an active backplate to watercool its card.
RTX 3090 Ti FE: the card already watercooled by Alphacool!
The waterblock, an Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N offers a fairly classic design. Indeed, the latter will actively cool the GPU, the memory and the power supply stages of the card. For this, the liquid will pass directly over these critical parts.
As you can see, the block has a nickel-plated copper base and an acrylic top. Finally, on the edge, we can count on four G1/4″ threads for the inputs/outputs. Of course, an RGB lighting is also present.
Regarding the active backplate, it also offers a copper construction with acrylic on the top. Otherwise, there are G1/4″ threads on the top and two 5/3mm threads on the back. However, it will not use the same terminal as the waterblock, contrary to what is done with WaterCool for example.
The waterblock is priced at €149.99 while the backplate is sold for €79.99.
