ASRock is back with a vengeance with its waterblocks . After taking on Palit and Inno3D’s RTX 4070 offering, the brand is now targeting AMD’s offering. This time, the brand is targeting ASRock’s RX 9070 XT Taichi, a resolutely high-end card equipped with a 12V-2×6.
ASRock RX 9070 XT Taichi: a waterblock by Alphacool!
As you know, yesterday was the launch of AMD’s RX 9070 series. As we have seen, you had to be quick or have a big wallet to get one on launch day. In the meantime, that hasn’t stopped Alphacool from offering a waterblock dedicated to AMD cards. For this, we find a model from the brand’s Core range.
This will be a full cover model, covering the entire PCB of the card. The GPU, memory and power supply stages will be cooled directly, but you know the principle.
In terms of construction, Alphacool is not changing its recipe and is still proposing a chromed copper base. Once again, the brand believes that chrome is more resistant than nickel plating. Otherwise, we have an acrylic top with an acetal terminal. The two G1/4″ threads are chrome-plated brass.
Dimensions: 217.10 (W) x 127.37 (D) x 33.05 (H) mm.
Once again, price-wise, it’s not cheap, as you’ll need to add a hefty €200 to the price of the card. Currently, ASRock’s RX 9070 XT Taichi is listed at around €930 on the LDLC group. That’s a watercooler card costing around €1,130! Well, Alphacool is being kind, because at this price the backplate is included.
Here’s the Alphacool product sheet!
