Alphacool announces new waterblocks for graphics cards. The brand is targeting the RTX 4090 and RTX 4070 Ti from Gigabyte and Asus. To do so, it is showcasing models from the Eisblock and Core series.
Alphacool waterblocks for Asus and Gigabyte RTX 4090/4070 Ti!
With these models, the brand offers us blocks from the Eisblock and Core series. The former series will feature variants for the RTX 4090 Master/Gaming OC and RTX 4070 Ti Strix/Strix OC. The second, the Core models, are intended for Gigabyte’s Aorus and Gaming OC versions.
In both cases, we find full-cover models covering the entire PCB. Here, the upper part is made of acrylic to diffuse RGB lighting, while allowing the liquid to circulate inside.
Here, the Core series stands out for its sober, minimalist aesthetic. In this case, the corners are rounded, while the terminal is rounded and black. In addition, the threads are chrome-plated. In contrast, the Eisblock series is angular, and the terminal also features acrylic threads.
In both cases, the base is chrome-plated copper, which the brand claims is more resistant than nickel-plated copper.
As for prices, you’ll need to reckon with €200 for the Core model, while the Eisblock version comes in at €160, all for Gigabyte cards. The model for ASUS cards doesn’t seem to be available yet… At least, we can’t find it on the brand’s website.
