Alphacool, a brand specialising in components for liquid cooling, has announced new waterblocks. The program includes two references for PNY cards. The brand is targeting the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Epic-X and Triple Fan!

Of course, Alphacool is continuing to develop its range of Core waterblocks . These are full-cover type and cover the entire PCB of the cards. They are also capable of cooling critical components such as the GPU, memory and power supply stages.
Not surprisingly, Alphacool has opted for a copper-based construction for the part mounted on the PCB. This part is also chrome-plated, a treatment considered more resistant than the more traditional nickel plating. The upper part of the block is made of transparent acrylic, so you can enjoy aRGB lighting while admiring the liquid flowing through the block. Finally, the terminal has a nylon construction with brass threads that are also chrome-plated.
Alphacool is offering models for PNY’s RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. Compatibility mentions cards from the Epic-X and Epic-X overclocked series. The same applies to the Triple Fan and Triple Fan overclocked versions.
The price stings, especially when you consider the initial outlay required to acquire the cards. Expect to pay €200 for the waterblock, although fortunately the backplate is included.
