A small controversy came to disrupt the launch of the 12th generation of Intel CPUs. Indeed, the rookies declared a few days before the launch that the new hybrid Alder Lake processors should have difficulty running older games that used DRM solutions like Denuvo. In particular, the most recurring problem was a difficulty in combining the high-performance cores ( P core ) with the efficient cores ( E Core ). The efficient cores can cause blockages with the DRM software, which wrongly recognizes them as another system.
Alder Lake capricious with 90 games: it’s ancient history
A list of incompatible or problematic games has appeared. To extinguish this fire, some manufacturers have published a curious “patch” allowing to use these games anyway. But this solution was actually just disabling the E-Core to get around the problem. Intel announced from the beginning that this problem would be treated quickly and we must recognize that the blue have kept their word by working hand in hand with Denuvo. So the list that mentioned nearly 90 games incompatible with Alder Lake processors, is now reduced to 3 incompatible titles: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Fernbus Simulator and Madden 22. In fact, only Ubisoft’s title poses a problem at the moment, but a solution could be found very soon.
