DeepCool completes its range of AK fans with the arrival of a new model. After the AK620 in double tower, here is the AK400, a much more complete version. Indeed, this is a 120mm model!
AK400: a 120mm heatsink for $30!
With this new model, DeepCool offers us a single tower heatsink in 120 mm. This model will remain quite compact with its dimensions of 127 (W) x 97 (D) x 155 (H) mm with the fan. As for the weight, it is 661 g on the scale.
The radiator itself has four copper heat pipes of 6 mm each. Moreover, they are mounted in direct-touch, in other words, they will come into direct contact with the CPU. Moreover, we will retain their rather particular arrangement: two in the center, the last two more off-centered towards the ends of the base.
Ventilation is provided by a single 120mm fan. The latter benefits from a PWM power supply and an operating range between 500 RPM and 1850 RPM. At full speed, the air flow will be 66.47 CFM and the static pressure of 2.04 mmH2O.
Otherwise, the finish seems to us really very neat with a top cover to hide the end of the heat pipes. Moreover, it is removable and, if necessary, it will allow to reduce the height of the heatsink from 155 mm to 153 mm.
As for the price, it is via the test of Vortez.net that we can have the information: $30. Clearly, a good deal considering what seems to be proposed here.
