AOC has announced a new series of screens for gamers. Indeed, the brand launches three Agon Pro AG274 with the models GQ, QXM and UXP. The difference between the three? Mainly the resolution and refresh rate!
AG274, the QXM model, an IPS QHD model in 170 Hz!
We start with the QXM version of the monitor which offers us a non-curved IPS slab. Moreover, this slab will be very responsive with its refresh rate of 170 Hz and its latency of 1 ms gray to gray. Otherwise, for the resolution, we have the right to QHD in 2560 x 1440.
For the rest of the specs, we are entitled to a backlight via mini-LED on 576 zones. With peak brightness at 1000 nits, this allows it to get the DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Finally, it offers 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
The QG version, QHD at 240 Hz!
The QG version still has an LED panel with a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440), however, the responsiveness is more advanced. Here, AOC offers us a 240 Hz monitor with a response time of 1 ms gray to gray. In addition, we have the right to NVIDIA G-Sync and Reflex history to add a little more!
In addition, the WLED backlighting will be less powerful with its 450 nits. This also translates into an HDR600 certification. In terms of colorimetry, however, we have a coverage of 102% of the DCI-P3 space and 133% for the sRGB.
The UXP, a UHD screen in 144 Hz!
We finally finish with the UXP variant which displays a UHD resolution (3840 x 2160). Always equipped with an IPS panel, this model displays a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a latency of 1 ms gray to gray.
Finally, in terms of specification, this model is closer to the HQ with its brightness at 450 nits. The same goes for colorimetry with its 102% coverage of DCI-P3 and 133% of the sRGB spectrum. Once again, we find a certification HDR600.
In addition, given its resolution and frequency, this screen has a connection based on HDMI 2.1.
The prices!
We finish quickly by the prices and on this subject, it will be necessary to spend a hefty sum for these AG274 series. Indeed, the QXM model and its HDR1000 certification are £849.99. The UXP model is offered at £769.99. Finally, the unknown in the equation is the QG and its 240 Hz refresh rate.
Here are the technical data sheets of the QXM, UXP and QG from AOC !
