A RADEON Pro W7900 shows itself in benchs !

AMD is working on its new generation of professional graphics cards. This should result in the arrival of the RADEON Pro W7900 in the high-end sector. Moreover, the card has already been spotted on PugetBench, even if the GPU configuration is not known, we already have a glimpse of the proposed performances… At this stage of development!

RADEON Pro W7900 : a first benchmark!

With this new card, we would have to deal with the top of the range of AMD professional cards. The configuration of the card is not yet known, but we can already draw plans on the comet. Indeed, with this model, it is not impossible that the brand exploits a full Navi31 GPU. This would mean a total of 96 Compute Units containing 6144 stream processors. The card would also have 96 MB of Infinity Cache and a 384-bit memory bus. Moreover, the memory capacity of this model is not known, but we can expect 48 GB… The equivalent of the RTX 6000 Ada and double the RX 7900 XTX.

When it comes to scoring, the card was tested on PudgetBench Photoshop. On the test, the card gets a score of 135.3 against 149.7 on the side of NVIDIA and its pro card. This represents a gap of about 11% in favor of the greens. However, what will probably weigh the most in the balance is the price. If AMD positions their card very aggressively, they may win the performance/price battle. Especially since as the drivers mature, it is not impossible to see the performance improve either.
