It’s hard not to despair when you look at a gaming chair. The products all end up looking the same for years. Cougar, the German brand (which usually sources from China) has decided to break the codes a little with a product soberly called Terminator. Obviously, with a name like that, we don’t expect a product with a lot of finesse and frankly we thought we were in for the worst.
But we must admit that the video has whetted our appetite. So yes, the look is aggressive, yes the product seems massive but for once, we get out of the usual car bucket we’ve known for years now. The seat is built around an articulated frame clearly resembling a spine that should provide the best approach to support your lumbar. The Terminator promises to perfectly fit the natural curve of all spines.
Finally, as it seems difficult to get rid of PU leatherette these days, the backrest design promises ventilation to allow body heat to circulate while avoiding any sweating. As for the rest of the design, the brand promises that the use of industrial grade fiber reinforced plastic (PAFRP) guarantees great strength and a lasting investment. As we are talking about investment, we do not know yet the price of this new reference. But as this seat is strongly focused on ergonomics and aesthetics, it is likely that you will have to torture your credit card a little more…
