Colorful Core i9 13900HXInstalling a mobile CPU on a desktop motherboard is a well-known practice. We have several examples, including Minisforum’s Ryzen 9 8945HX on a mini-ITX motherboard.

This time, we’re talking about a 13900HX, a high-performance Intel processor for the mobile world. As a reminder, this processor has a large number of cores: 24c/32t with 8 P-Core and 16 E-Core. Operating frequencies range from a basic 2.2 GHz to a turbo boost of up to 5.4 GHz. As for cache memory, each core benefits from 2 MB of L2 and 36 MB of shared L3.

As you can see, the motherboard features a copper plate to make it compatible with AIO watercooling systems and fans on the market.

Motherboard features:

In terms of connectivity, the board features two PCIe slots, with the first Gen4 x16 slot reinforced by a small PCIe x1 3.0 slot. The storage section offers two PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 slots, while there are two SATA III slots. In terms of RAM, we’re talking about two DDR5 slots supporting up to 96 GB of RAM running at 6400 MT/s.

Finally, rear connectors offer the essentials, with HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. There’s also a 1 GbE Ethernet socket and a WiFi6 module. In all, six USB-A ports are present, four in 3.2 Gen1 and two in 2.0.

For the moment, we don’t know the retail price.
