Currently, Intel is working on its new generation of Xeon processors for servers. This can be seen since a very big Xeon has been spotted on GeekBench. Indeed, the Xeon W9-3495X is on entry in the database of the software!

For the record, this processor is the spearhead of Intel’s Saphhire Rapids series. Indeed, we find here a chip with a large number of cores: 56! Similarly, it has a large L3 cache memory capacity with 105 MB, and the same is true for the L2 with 56 MB of memory. Finally, the software displays the base frequency which is 1.90 GHz against 4.6 GHz in boost.

The entry indicates that the processor was installed on a SuperMicro X13SWA-TF motherboard. It is an E-ATX model with a LGA-4677 socket. The latter has a total of sixteen memory slots, seven PCIe x16 and four M.2 complemented by sixteen SATA. In short, a monster.

In terms of scores, the processor gets 1284 pts in single-core against 36990 pts in multi-core. Nevertheless, as impressive as they are, these scores are still lower than what a Threadripper PRO 5995WX can achieve. The Intel model would be 15% slower in single-core while the AMD model hits 40k pts in multi-core according to VideoCardz.
