In Japan, a decline in the price of AMD’s RX 9000 series graphics cards is beginning to be observed. Indeed, if we take a closer look, the RX 9070 XT has lost 15% of its price, compared to 20% for the RX 9060 XT 16 GB. Of course, these declines are compared to their highest level since November 2025. It should be noted that sharp price increases occurred at the end of December and in January.

RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT: prices down 15 to 20%!

According to comparison sites, in mid-November, the RX 9070 XT was selling for an average of ¥105,000, reaching a peak of ¥144,000 in mid-January. The price of the cheapest RX 9070 XTs followed a similar trend, with a price of ¥95,000 in mid-November, exceeding ¥130,000 in mid-January.

The RX 9060 XT followed the same pattern, but with a more sudden surge in prices starting on January 15, when it jumped from less than ¥70,000 to over ¥80,000 in a matter of days, exceeding ¥85,000 at the end of January. In November, the card was selling for an average of ¥56,000 and a little over ¥50,000 at its lowest.

Since then, demand seems to have decreased, pulling prices down. The RX 9070 XT now averages ¥124,000, with the most affordable models priced at ¥110,000. As for the RX 9060 XT, as of February 19, prices average ¥71,000, compared to ¥67,000 for the most affordable cards.

While these declines are an encouraging sign, it does not mean that cards will return to their November 2025 levels anytime soon. Tensions in the memory market remain unresolved, and at the slightest spike in demand, prices could rise again. For now, the Christmas holidays are over, which may also explain this downward trend.
